I glanced at my gmail spam this morning and found an email with the subject:
“Brahma, whom the gods implored for help, ascended with the threatened ones to the Lord of the World, Vishnu, to ask his advice. ”
Interesting … is it a sign, should I turn to Vishnu and ask for his advice?
I think I need to carefully contemplate the meaning of this profound message …perhaps if I wait the right questions to ask Vishnu may also appear in my spam.
Confined in the narrow cage of our own making which we take for the whole universe, very few of us can even begin to imagine another dimension of reality.

Fantastic article about overclocking the brain.
“I just found out that the brain is like a computer. If that’s true, then there really aren’t any stupid people. Just people running DOS.”

33 New Ways To Overclock Your Brain
Well, its seems that I have a blog. Once must try and rember this type of thing and try and keep it updated! News, updates, adventures. Nothing really new to report. Ok, to be honest stuff has been happening, but as is the nature of stuff, it tends to dissipate rather quickly. Check the new(ish) Segue site at http://www.seguesound.com
On friday night I saw Nathan Fake play live at Drop @ The Empire Moon Bar. It was a pretty special performance. Fake’s 2006 album Drowing in a Sea of Love is an amazing piece of work that has been described as “a fantastic album, it sounds like Orbital and Boards of Canada got into a punchup and then took pills together afterwards.”
The live performance was perhaps a little to artsy and self indulgent. I was left wanting a throbbing bassline and a more consistent beat, however it was awesome to hear some of Fake’s sounds through a huge p.a.

The Neurosphere Institute has some very interesting ideas furthering Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s concept of the Noosphere - a “thinking layer” connecting the thoughts and consciousness of all humans. Donald P. Dulchinos uses the term Neurosphere to expand Teilhard’s ideas and place the in a modern context of the Internet, network infrastructure and neuroscience. An article here gives a great introduction.
